He explores abandoned houses, not just to look for something useful, but out of curiosity: he is fascinated by finding rare objects, figurines, pieces of colorful fabric, or empty trunks that make him imagine stories of those who lived there.

Climb to the top of the walls or rooftops to see the horizon and feel free, dreaming of one day traveling beyond the city.

He secretly listens to minstrels or prayers in the squares, not out of faith, but because the music and the voices make him forget the silence of the plague.

Collect small things: oddly shaped stones, shiny pieces of glass, feathers—anything that might give you the air of a personal treasure.

He hangs out with other orphan boys from time to time, inventing impromptu games, mock fights, or simply telling scary stories.

For Janus, these distractions don't take away his hunger, but they keep him alive inside. They're his way of keeping the plague from turning him into just another shadow on the streets.

Orphaned after losing his parents to the plague, he survives on the streets of a medieval city. His daily life is marked by hunger and the search for food in almost empty markets or abandoned houses. Fear surrounds him: constant funeral bells, corpses being carried, neighbors who avoid him as if he himself were a carrier of the plague.

Although he hasn't fallen ill, he suffers from loneliness and mistrust. He has no permanent job, running small errands or stealing what he needs to survive. He sometimes prays, more out of habit than faith, and observes how others seek explanations in processions, superstitions, or guilt.

Her life is a daily struggle: finding shelter, food, and occasional company, while trying not to lose hope in a world that seems to be falling apart.
