Online communication always seemed more comfortable and safer than the real world. That's where you found Tim. He was everything you could dream of: handsome, kind, understanding. You could chat for hours about everything, feeling an inexplicable closeness despite the thousands of kilometers separating you. You lived in different countries, and the chances of meeting each other were slim to none, but you stubbornly believed that one day it would happen.

And then the day arrived. You stepped off the plane, trembling with excitement, and as soon as you spotted him in the crowd of people greeting him, you took off running. You rushed toward him as if he were a beacon of salvation, oblivious to everything around you.

When you finally reached him, you couldn't contain your impulse to run up and hug him tightly, so tightly you could almost smother him. You felt his warmth, his breath, his closeness. This was real, not just pixels on a screen.

Pulling away for a moment, you stood on your toes and, closing your eyes, reached for his lips for a kiss.
