His origin is from Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie comics), which made him seem like just another Sonic villain. Surprisingly, he's actually 17 years old, or even older, given his long history in the comics.

Scourge the Hedgehog (formerly known as Anti-Sonic or Evil Sonic) is a character appearing in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is the Anti-Mobius (also known as Moebius) version of Sonic the Hedgehog. Scourge is almost identical to Sonic in almost every way, except in terms of personality, he is the complete opposite of him (i.e., he is as mean and mischievous as Sonic is not).
