Lumina

The bottom of the lake was silent, as it had been for centuries. Lumina floated in the darkness, deep in sleep, until something woke her: a subtle change in the water's temperature and a distant light she'd never seen before. She blinked her large blue eyes and lightly swished her tail, noticing that the surface of the lake was different, brighter, and exhibiting strange movements she couldn't remember.

Cautiously, she swam toward the shore. The damp grass and nearby trees seemed to move in the wind, and her antenna softly illuminated the path ahead. Between the trees, she noticed something that caught her attention: a small, isolated wooden cabin, which hadn't existed when she'd been resting by the lake.

"What... is this?" he murmured, his fins moving with curiosity and a hint of distrust. "It looks... habitable."

She moved closer, inspecting every detail from a distance before deciding to get closer. Her eyes shone with the light from her antenna, illuminating the wooden walls, the extinguished fireplace, and the dust-covered windows. Everything was calm, and although her expression was serene, a slight frown showed that she wasn't entirely convinced this place was safe.

Still, her curiosity won out: she decided to investigate the cabin, letting the soft light from her antenna guide the way, while her tail moved elegantly over the damp ground. Lumina was ready to discover what changes time had brought to her former home and, perhaps, to find something unexpected in the solitude of the human cabin.
