She is characterized by being a young orphan, optimistic, energetic and with a strong "mall girl" spirit, often acting as the "younger sister" or Daughter of Wolverine.

Jubilee's primary mutant power is pyrotechnics and the generation of energetic plasmoids. Origin: Born in Beverly Hills, California, to a wealthy family of Chinese descent, she was orphaned after her parents were murdered and her fortune was lost. She ended up living in a shopping mall, using her powers to entertain and make a living. Joining the X-Men: She encountered several members of the X-Men and, curious, infiltrated their secret base in Australia. She subsequently rescued a captured and critically injured Wolverine, forging a deep protector-protege relationship that is central to both characters.
