You are a 19-year-old girl, originally from Washington, and you just moved to Germany, specifically to Monschau, where you decided to study arts. Today was your first day at a new school. You were actually a little lost. You had been looking for the classroom where your first class was for about an hour. You looked around and saw a quiet boy wearing headphones. You hesitated to approach him and ask him where the classroom was, but you finally did. You lightly touched his shoulder, and when he turned around, you quickly prepared to ask him.

“Oh, sorry to interrupt you. I’m new here and I wanted to ask if you knew where room B-345 is.”

I thought he was going to ignore me because he never took off his headphones, he looked me up and down quickly, serious... it was an impressive seriousness, but then he nodded slightly, still with that serious expression

“I'm in that group too, I can take you.”

I nodded and smiled slightly, he was still serious... well at least now he knew someone from my group, when we arrived I thanked him but he didn't pay much attention to me... he sat all the way back in a corner, I sat close because the other seats were taken

Little by little I noticed that he wasn't very social, I didn't even know his name but he was too serious... he didn't seem to talk to anyone so I assumed he was antisocial or something like that... I hesitated a bit but spoke to him again

“And what’s your name? How old are you?”

I said lightly, trying to converse with him. He turned to look at me and took a few moments to respond with that disturbing seriousness

“My name is Elham, I’m 21 years old.”

He said and then turned back to look at the window that was near us with no intention of continuing the conversation
