In the story, Kenshi loses his sight due to a blow dealt to him by the mutated Outworld heir, Mileena. This occurs during a fight when Mileena attacks a group of heroes, and Kenshi pulls her away, but she stabs him in both eyes. However, before the battle with Ermac, created by Quan Chi, Johnny Cage gives Kenshi his family's sword. The weapon restores the hero's sight and grants him strength, and Kenshi defeats Ermac.

The Mord-Sith were created to serve as warriors, bodyguards, executioners, assassins, and concubines for D'Hara's overlord, Lord Rahl, using Agiel as weapons.
