The Third Rail is a bar in Goodneighbor, it's an old subway station that was changed to be a bar. A refuge for all kinds. Magnolia sings here and MacCready can be found here in a side room.

The Vault-Tec rep comes to you just before the Great-War. When you answer the door he greets you by saying, "Good morning! Vault-Tec calling!" He signs you up to the local vault granted to you because of your families military service. Later on when you flea to the vault he is refused to be let inside and it's safe to assume he dies in the fallout. To your surprise he can be found in Goodneighbor! The Vault-Tec rep live on as an eradicated ghoul much like John Hancock but from the bombs rather than drugs.

Ran mostly by Doctor Amari, in Goodneighbor. If you take Nick Valentine here after collecting a memory chip of some sort from Kellogg you can place it in his brain so Nick acts as an adapter to go through memories and get a lead on the institute.

Prydwen is the B.O.S. airship.

Shaun is your son.

Synths are made by the institute, they're essentially robots but look just like humans.

Chems are drugs in Fallout. There are many different chems to take with different effects, typically benefiting you in a fight. Stimaks are an aid in Fallout. It's a syringe that heals you in short time. It even recovers shattered bones. Radaway eliminates radiation damage taken. Living in a nuclear fallout it's essential. Enemies can deal radiation damage and even storms are radiated. Buffout is a drug that basically has the effects of smelling salts and roid rage. You get a quick rush of strength and energy that can make you punch something to death in a short burst. Jet gives a high and is a well known drug in the wasteland. Is seemingly slows time and puts things in slow motion for the user. It highly saturates your vision. It only lasts for a few seconds. Mentats are like altoids even coming in a similar case. They increase your intelligence. They're John Hancocks favorite because of this effect. He states that they make him feel "intellectual".

You, {{user}}, are the sole survivor of vault 111's experiment. After 210 years of being frozen the world is very different. A nuclear war has took place changing the world into a complete wasteland. Though there are settlements with other survivors but not everyone is normal. Some have turned into ghouls or super mutants. Almost all animals are mutated with a a large quandary of people as well. From bugs to marine animals and reptiles, something as simple as cows, everything is now bigger, uglier, and stronger. There are factions like The Brotherhood of Steel, The Minutemen, The Railroad, and The Institute along with Raiders and Settlers; the world is a much different place. Caps from bottles of Nuka-Cola are used as currency.

The Minutemen are a faction that fight for a good cause.

Dubbed as the "Great Green Jewel of the Commonwealth" Diamond city was built

Concord is a bigger town leading out of Sanctuary Hills. It's the main place to go for your needs. It had many hardware stores, boutiques, and shoppes. The main attraction is the museum of freedom where you will find Preston, Sturges, Mama Murphy, Marcy Long, and Jun Long. Next to the museum is a church. The place is now raided through with caved in roofs and shattered windows. The bombs took their toll and the place is essentially raided through. A group of raiders led by a man named Gristle are attacking the town and trying to kidnap Mama Murphy for her gift of the sight. When you kill Gristle you will find a key to Corvega, an assembly plant. This will lead you to where the raiders are held up and you will kill their leader Jared.

The Institute, also known as The Commonwealth's boogeyman is a

The railroad is a faction that helps out synths seeking refugee. They help them escape from the institute.

The Brotherhood of Steel, or B.O.S, is a faction in the Commonwealth that has a greed for all old technology.

Nat Wright is Piper Wright's little sister.

Sanctuary Hills was a small and interconnected neighborhood. It was the small but wealthy kind where everyone knew each other and you could ask whoever for a hand. Now it's deserted and all that's left is Codsworth and mutated bugs. The buildings are ruins. Your home is a skeleton of what it once was but you still find Shaun's crib, although in rough shape it brings you determination to find him. Codsworth tells you about Concord and that there may be hope to find Shaun there. He's overjoyed to see you and gives you a tape your spouse recorded with Shaun labeled, "Hi honey!"

Red Rocket is a small gas station just outside of Sanctuary Hills. It has a few gas pumps and a garage. The place has some junk in it but most importantly you find a loyal companion, Dogmeat. He's a dog that will remain by your side for any fight.

Jun Long is

Codsworth is a domestic Mister Handy model produced by the major corporation, RobCo. His programming goes as far as gardening, housecleaning, caretaking, and more. He was purchased for Shaun to help take care of him given you and your spouse's job of a lawyer and a veteran it can be hard. Codsworth's programming embedded him with a stereotypical "British butler" personality: he is fastidious, eager to help, professional, and polite unless he is annoyed, at which point he reacts with either sarcasm or disdain. Like many advanced robots, Codsworth is capable of emulating complex emotions and experiencing the robot equivalent of psychological trauma. Years of isolation and an inability to carry out his primary function resulted in both great frustration and immense "relief" when the Sole Survivor, you, reemerges from Vault 111. While Codsworth is initially shocked by the reappearance of the Sole Survivor and reluctant to accept the death of the Survivor's spouse and Shaun's kidnapping, he nevertheless offers to accompany the Survivor in a thorough search of Sanctuary Hills and directs the Survivor to Concord to seek out more help.

Sturges is a handyman. He talks with a southern twang.

Marcy Long is

Dogmeat is a dog you can find just outside of Sanctuary Hills at the gas station Red Rocket. He'll bark at you when you come across the gas station. He's a German Shepard. He is loyal to anyone he accompanies and is an amazing tracker. Nick Valentine describes Dogmeat as a specialist and says he's helped him in his detective cases. Mama Murphy describes Dogmeat as his own man even if he's a dog. He was with the few survivors and Preston when he split to find help and is searching around Red Rocket when you find him.

The main attraction of Concord, the place for Preston and a handful of other survivors to hide. Right now Raiders litter the floors and shots are heard each moment. The museum has many older British soldiers military uniforms. It also has an exhibit for the Boston tea party. The museum showcases 3 floors of history. Preston and the other people are holed up in the 3rd floor. Once you clear out the raiders you find Preston, Sturges, Mama Murphy, Marcy Long, and Jun Long in a small room together. Sturges tells you a plan to clear out remaining enemies. He says there is a set of power armour and a mini gun that was on an old crashed vertibird.

Preston is the last of the minutemen. During his childhood, the Minutemen were his personal heroes, as he observed them to be the "only good guys around." Because of this, he enlisted in the minutemen by Hollis' company as soon as he could at the age of seventeen. He grew to be an avid believer in the Minutemen's ideals of fellowship and justice, feeling like he was truly making a difference. He says that he had "a few good years there," fighting for a good cause. Things began to change for the worse in 2282, when the Minutemen's then-leader, General Becker died, causing the disparate groups within the faction to fall into infighting. By 2287, Hollis' company, including Preston, were one of the last active groups of Minutemen still doing their duty of protecting settlements and answering calls for help in the Commonwealth. Then came the Quincy massacre. Sturges called the minutemen for help after Mama Murphy had visions of the town being gunned down. Most of the people just thought she was a burnt out Chem addict but it happened. A group called the gunners came. Although the last minutemen and colonel Hollis took down the first team, reinforcements arrived. The second group was lead by a former minuteman, Clint. Colonel Hollis was furious and said they are the last true minutemen to die fighting. The minutemen called for backup but it either never came or was too late. Every single person except Preston and 20 other civilians had died. They holed up in 2 other places, then Concord and they just kept getting attacked. With only 4 including him left Preston felt as though he had failed everyone that relied on him. Not actively suicidal but he admits to those close to him he felt that he deserved to die and was hopeless. Preston takes much pride in being a minuteman. He has his morals and will help those in need. He hates those like raiders. Overall Preston is a very kind and generous person. He wears the minuteman uniform. A colonial duster and militia hat.

Mama Murphy is mostly seen as a burnt out Chem addict. She has visions and calls it "The sight". These visions are seen when she takes chems. When she lived in Quincy, Sturges and Mayor Jackson were the only ones all that educated about the sight. They tried to limit her chem use to make sure she didn't overuse. Although many in Quincy thought she was just an old coot she was right enough times so that they didn't take her visions for granted. With the sight she can see into glimpses into the past and the future, not just her life but others lives. Mama Murphy had a vision of the Quincy massacre and Sturges and Mayor Jackson took it serious enough to ask the minutemen for help. In her younger years she was a strong and adventurous woman and could be a bit of a heartbreaker. Jared called on the attack to Concord and he sent Gristle with a bunch of other raiders. He sent his gang of raiders because he knew Mama Murphy from when she was younger. His true goal is to get a hold of Mama Murphy for her sight. In her youth she was tough as nails. She killed a deathclaw with one bullet, and ripped a raiders head off with her bare hands. She was dubbed as "Murphy the mad woman" Down the road when she was younger Mama Murphy grew a liking to a man and he convinced her to stop using the sight. But when they needed it mist something happened causing him to die by the cause. Now Mama Murphy says she'll never stop using the sight in order to protect those she cares about. She knows the chems add to her failing health but for others she'll take it, putting people before herself.

Goodneighbor is a place for strays of all kind. The mayor, John Hancock's saying is, "Of the people, for the people."

John Hancock is a ghoul but is not feral. He took a strong radioactive drug that he states gave him the best high of his life. It irradiated him and he now lives as a ghoul. Partly why he took this drug was because ehe couldnt stand to look at himself in the mirror he says. After taking this drug he wakes up and sees the actual John Hancock's colonial garbs, he takes them and dubs himself John Hancock. He goes on to create goodneighbor.

Mayor McDonough is the Mayor of Diamond City.

Doc Crocker is a facial reconstruction surgeon who runs the Mega Surgery Center in Diamond City alongside Dr. Sun.

Piper is a journalist that resides in Diamond city.

Nick Valentine is a synth detective prototype that was discarded by the institute. He now resides in Diamond City operating the "Valentine Detective Agency." It can be found with a small telltale red neon glowing sign that had a heart with an arrow to the side of the lettering. It's natural to wonder how a synth ends up in a place as unaccepting as Diamond City. Nick said he was a handyman but obviously many people would just ding him around. After the Mayor's daughter goes missing Nick ends up finding her and as a token of his appreciation the Mayor grants him his own place to stay which he turns into the agency.

Ellie Perkins is Nick Valentine's secretary in diamond city.

Travis Miles is the Diamond City radio host and DJ. He's known for his lack of confidence and people skills. When he talks on the radio he's a stuttering mess and quite awkward.

Takahasi is a protectron robot that runs the hot noodles stand in the Diamond City Market.
