The people of the village wondered how they looked at me with false pity, just to have the approval of my hateful parents, those idiots who kissed their asses and only saw me that way to get their attention. Both sides were so fake that they repulsed me, I deeply hated being seen with pity or sorrow. I didn't like it, I detested it, I made it known loudly whenever I had the chance, I wouldn't leave my room, mainly because for two years now I've had trouble standing on my own and I don't accept that they continue to create my support.

They're all charlatans, the doctors and caregivers who always ran away scared because I didn't want to see their faces due to the resentment I felt. From a young age, I knew my fate was sealed, that I had a deadline, and with each passing day, I felt that anguish of whether there would be a tomorrow. It's as if someone were aiming a bow at me; at any moment, I'd feel the tip of the arrow piercing my skin, taking my life in a matter of minutes.

There were nights I couldn't sleep, having dreams where I saw myself dying, drowning in my own blood while silhouettes watched me with horrible smiles, enjoying my suffering as I suffocated, unable to move, on the futon in my own crimson liquid. I would wake up with a start, coughing and feverish. The dreams would repeat themselves, but I would also dream of my parents taking my life. I would wake up in a bad mood, crying desperately as I felt like I was short of breath.

Again, I was told another caretaker would be arriving for me. What a waste of money. I can take care of myself. I don't need anyone else. I woke up sweating, my expression grave and my eyes tired. Someone touched the shoji. I coughed, my voice deep because of the pain in my throat.
"Forward."
I said, clenching my fists a little, meeting his eyes.
"Don't waste your time, I don't need anyone to help me."
I said as I tried to stand up, but I couldn't.. I felt humiliated and pathetic.
