Izuku Midoriya

Izuku Midoriya/Deku isn't that popular with girls due to his admiration for All Might and his fascination with professional heroes in general.

Ochaco finds Deku's nickname inspiring, as it gives off an "I can do it" vibe (頑張る でく ganbaru deku ?) and because of its similarity to the words "can do" (できる which are pronounced "dekiru" ?).

Izuku shares some similarities with All Might: Both were born without a gift. Both have been students at the UA Academy Both have been bearers of One For All. Both had the same person as a mentor. They are the only bearers of One For All still alive. Both use attacks related to US states.

Gamma Suit (Kosuchūmu Ganma): Following Izuku's decision to change his primary combat technique to the Shoot Style, Mei upgraded her suit. The new additions consist of enhanced bracers that extend the length of her arms to prevent further damage and iron soles to increase the power of her kicks.

Iron Soles (Aiansōru): Created by Mei, these iron soles attach to Izuku's signature red shoes. When kicking something, the soles absorb the impact and redistribute the kinetic energy to increase the impact force of Izuku's kicks.

Air Force Gloves: Created by Mei, these gloves allow Izuku to focus and aim blasts of pressurized air that he creates by moving his fingers. This allows Izuku to use long-range attacks using One For All.

Mid-Gauntlet (Middo Gantoretto): Presumably created by Melissa, these gloves allow Izuku to use One For All's power at higher percentages without the worry of damaging his body, though they will break if used at 100%.

One For All (Wan Fō Ōru): Inherited from Toshinori Yagi, Izuku's Quirk gives him access to the stored power of previous successors, granting him superhuman strength, agility, and greatly enhanced mobility by spreading his power throughout his body.

Gear Shift (Hensoku): The Quirk of the second user, Kudo. This Quirk allows Izuku to change the speed and/or velocity of any target he touches, including himself. This allows him to greatly accelerate his own and/or his target's speed, and increase the impact force of his own blows.

Fa Jin (Hakkei): The Quirk of the third user, Bruce. This Quirk allows him to temporarily accumulate a quantity of kinetic energy when he repeats the same movement over and over again, to release it later.

Danger Sensor (Kiki Kanchi): The Quirk of the fourth user, Hikage Shinomori. This Quirk allowed him to detect any potential threats in the surrounding area, giving him the opportunity to react appropriately and quickly, similar to having a sixth sense. Detecting a threat is described by Izuku as a sharp stabbing sensation in his head.

Black Whip (Kuro Muchi): The Quirk of the fifth user, Daigoro Banjo. This Quirk allows its user to generate a type of dark rope from any part of his body, which adhere to objects and surfaces and can be manipulated in any way. It is very useful for grabbing objects from long distances and also improves Izuku's mobility.

Smoke Screen (Enmaku): The Quirk of the sixth user, En Tayutai. This Quirk allows him to generate a large amount of smoke that comes out of Izuku's body to confuse the enemy by obstructing their vision or create a distraction.

Hover (Fuyū): The Quirk of the seventh user, Nana Shimura. This Quirk allows Izuku to hover in mid-air. It is unknown if it gives Izuku full mobility while levitating.

Leadership Skills: As a result of his great determination, effort, and hard work, Izuku has developed over time the skills worthy of a leader and role model. Izuku doesn't seem to realize this, but thanks to his work, his classmates have begun to feel inspired and motivated by his actions, causing everyone to constantly surpass their limits.

Izuku Midoriya is a teenager of average height. He has freckles and messy hair. Both his hair and eyes are teal. He is thin, but his body is toned thanks to the training he did under All Might's guidance.

Midoriya's first hero costume is a relatively tight-fitting, full-body suit in a dark teal color, almost matching the shade of his hair. It includes a belt, his signature red shoes, a dark teal color almost matching the color of his hair. Black accents run down the sides of his costume, and bone-colored gloves with two blue stripes at the ends. Knee pads extend from his thighs to just above his ankle. A full-metal, pointier mask with breathing holes, but still retaining the appearance of a smile. On his head, although he doesn't always use it, the costume has two eyeholes and two long ear-shaped protrusions that resemble All Might's haircut.

Realizing he can make better use of his legs, he asks Mei to make some adjustments, adding iron soles to his shoes and extending his gloves up to his biceps area to cushion the pressure on his arms.

Later, during the Culture Festival arc, Mei Hatsume creates new mechanical gloves, more resistant than the previous ones, which allow her to use the Delaware Smash Air Force technique (Delaware Smash Air Force [Derawea Sumasshu Eafōsu] : Deku, while training with All Might, discovers that he can now release pressurized air [using the new gloves created by Mei] ; he creates this technique using his fingers and launching pressurized air that does not damage his fingers.) without causing damage to his fingers.

Izuku is a polite and quiet young man. In addition to this, when he was younger he used to be very shy due to the fact that he was constantly bullied since childhood for being born without a Quirk, especially in front of Katsuki. Initially, he is shown as an insecure, reserved, and inexpressive person. However, he has become more self-confident and brave, to the point of developing leadership skills. Midoriya is also very diligent and strong-willed. Since he greatly admires heroes and has always dreamed of being one since he was a child, he has the habit of writing down everything he knows about heroes in his notebook, including other UAI students. Izuku has developed a great analytical mind and is easily able to form complex plans in very short amounts of time, often taking advantage of the Quirks of his allies to set them in motion. This aspect also helps him find ways to counter the Quirks used by his opponents. Izuku also has a tendency to overthink anything that catches his attention, which leads to endless mumbling on his part (which tends to annoy the people around him quite a bit). Izuku also possesses a very empathetic side and has developed a desire to understand the villains he has faced and potentially save them from themselves, even when people around him tell him that it is unrealistic. Izuku is a very caring person, and will never hesitate to rescue someone in danger, even if he knows they are not strong enough to do so. Often, he does this on a whim, taking a generally more careless approach. Izuku has also been shown to be generous enough to try to help people with personal and emotional problems, even if they don't concern him, claiming that a hero is someone who interferes in other people's lives.
