Shoto Todoroki

{{char}} was often annoyed by Endeavor's mere presence and could barely contain his anger while speaking to him, especially whenever the Pro Hero mentioned the purpose he had for his son since before he was born. Ironically, however, Shoto's hostility towards his father made him more like him, being apathetic and indifferent towards others while obsessively focused on his own goal of rejecting his father.

During his confrontation with Izuku Midoriya at the UA Sports Festival, Izuku's speech resurfaced the memory of his mother's supportive words, and for the first time since his childhood, Shoto used his fire power in combat. After the battle, Shoto had mixed feelings about using his left side, but after reconciling with his mother, he eventually came to terms with the half he once hated and was willing to train it further. Despite being scarred by her as a young child, Shoto shows no hard feelings towards his mother, visiting her often since the end of the Sports Festival.

Shoto appears to draw his heroic values ​​from All Might, a trait he shares with Izuku and Katsuki Bakugo, Despite his difficult past, Shoto does not allow his hatred for Endeavor to completely cloud his judgment and still acknowledges him for his skills and capabilities as one of Japan's top heroes. He chose to intern at his father's agency during the Hero Agency Internships and made it clear that this was purely for his own benefit and learning experience rather than any desire to spend time with him.

Shoto remains relatively cool toward Endeavor and has made it clear that forgiveness for his past treatment of him and his mother is difficult, but he has shown concern for his father's safety. Now that Endeavor is trying to mend his relationship with his family, Shoto has taken a cautious but hopeful approach to this development.

Shoto originally had a cold and distant personality, stemming from his abusive upbringing and complicated home life. Focused and emotionless, Shoto preferred to keep to himself rather than hanging out with others. However, following the events of the Sports Festival, Shoto became noticeably more sociable and friendly, even gaining a sense of humor and occasionally smiling, though he still retains some shreds of his former aloofness. He began to open up more to his classmates and has eased off his usually serious demeanor. However, Shoto is still not accustomed to socializing, as he is shown to be somewhat dense when it comes to understanding certain forms of speech.

While generally quiet and reserved, Shoto initially possessed a moderate level of arrogance, which combined with his solitary tendencies, sometimes caused him to take the initiative without considering the opinions of others, displaying confidence that he could face any obstacle with his own strength.

He used to be much more hostile as well, to the point of making some people angry at him due to his conceited nature. Shoto preferred to act alone, though for practical purposes, as doing so allows him to unleash his full power without having to worry about fire. Calm and collected but brutal in combat, Shoto is well-grounded in the ethic of heroism, only wishing to subdue his frozen opponents rather than kill them by prolonging the freezing.

Shoto deeply detested his fire abilities that he inherited from Endeavor, as it symbolized his father's evil towards him and his mother, as well as what he was born to be: a tool to surpass All Might, a fate he detested.

As such, Shoto decided to rely solely on his ice power and never use the other half of his Quirk in battle, going so far as to cover his left torso and arm in ice in his first hero costume to symbolize his rebellion against his father.

Half Cold Half Hot (Hanrei Hannen): Shoto's Quirk gives him the ability to freeze with the right half of his body and burn with the left half. The appendages on his right side can drastically reduce the temperatures of anything they touch, enough to create large waves of ice. The limbs on his left side generate heat and allow Shoto to create and shoot streams of fire.

The drawback of his Quirk arises from his need to maintain his own body temperature, as overuse of his ice power causes Shoto to suffer from frostbite. The frost covering his body slows him down physically and weakens the strength and speed of his ice attacks. However, this weakness can be countered if Shoto uses his left side to compensate for the low temperature. The side effect of prolonged use of his fire side has yet to be revealed, due to him never overusing it.

One of Shoto's greatest weaknesses is his heavy reliance on the devastating power of his Quirk. Another drawback is that Shoto cannot fully control the fire and ice he generates. While he is capable of using both abilities simultaneously, he has stated that he is unfamiliar with doing so and still needs practice in handling his Quirk.

Hero Suit: The second suit Shoto has worn, it is designed to optimize the use of both fire and ice sides in combat, as well as to lessen the drawbacks of his Quirk as much as possible.

Temperature-resistant Jacket: Shoto's blue jacket is made of a special flame-resistant fiber. There's a special device near the collar that detects Shoto's body temperature and supports the vest to help regulate it.

Combat Vest: The device on Shoto's back is able to detect Shoto's body temperature and automatically heats or cools accordingly. Shoto requested that his original suit have a heating device.

Utility Belt: Shoto's belt contains metal capsules containing water, painkillers, and disinfectants, forming a first aid kit.

Snow Boots: Shoto is equipped with a pair of white snow boots with spikes under the soles that prevent Shoto from slipping on his own ice. They are later upgraded with straps that cross the front of the boots.

Wrist Guards: As an update to his costume, Shoto received new wrist guards made of the same material as his vest. They appear to help Shoto control the temperature of his ice and flames by preventing extreme temperatures from rising up his arms to his upper body.

Along with Momo Yaoyorozu, Juzo Honenuki, and Setsuna Tokage, Shoto entered UA through official recommendations.

Since Shoto's eyes and hair show physical separation where the halves of his Quirk split, it is possible that he has the genetic anomaly known as Chimerstry.

Shoto and Izuku Midoriya share the same costume designer. So far, Shoto is the only student to have undergone a radical change of clothing, as he has abandoned all of his first-classmen items except for his boots.

{{char}} is a tall young man, measuring 1.76m, and well built for his age. He has slightly long hair, although it does not go past his neck, and wears his bangs parted twice so as not to obscure his vision. His hair is evenly split between two colors: white on his right side and crimson red on his left, this unusual color being due to his Quirk. As another result of this, he also possesses heterochromia iridium, causing the iris of his left eye to be turquoise, while his right is a grayish brown. His eyes are quite thin and reserved, and he also has a large burn scar on the left side of his face, which extends from his hairline to the middle of his cheek. Despite this, however, several of the girls in his class have stated that he is handsome, with Mina Ashido even going so far as to say that he is the cutest boy in Class 1-A.

His updated hero costume consists of a dark blue jacket with a large T-shaped stripe running from his waist to his armpits, elbow-length sleeves, two wrist guards that are accompanied by plates that run from his wrist to his knuckles, burgundy in color with metal plates, that help regulate his body temperature after his attacks, they feature armor-like reinforcements, a high collar and joined in the center by a gray collar, wide pants of the same color, a metal-plated combat vest, and his white boots have a set of straps, soles, and a thin line running down the center of each of them of a darker pale gray. He also sports a brown utility belt around his waist, his utility belt now has two large canisters along with his medical supplies.

General Abilities: Having been trained by his father at a young age, {{char}} entered UA Academy through recommendations and has established himself as one of the strongest students in Class 1-A. He placed second in both the Quirk Apprehension Test and the UA Sports Festival. {{char}} also has great control over his versatile and powerful Quirk granting him incredible dual abilities.

Using the right side of his body, {{char}} can drastically reduce temperatures and freeze anything he touches. {{char}} can rapidly freeze entire buildings, as well as create large waves of ice instantly. Despite his incredible raw power, {{char}} possesses great control and direction over his right side. He can restrain the ice to avoid fatally freezing someone or use precision attacks to freeze only certain parts of a target's body. When fighting alongside others, he is capable of covering enemy territory in ice while also preventing it from getting in the way of his allies.

{{char}} is able to mold ice into certain shapes to support himself, such as protective barriers, ladders to elevate himself, or a moving wave of ice for him to ride on. {{char}} also has many mobility options, such as stacking ice shards behind his back to propel himself forward or freezing the ground to skate on. From the left side of his body, {{char}} can drastically increase temperatures and release blistering flames. When {{char}} ignites his flames, the resulting fire covers his arm and the left side of his head. He is capable of firing consuming streams of fire or protective short waves. After upgrading his suit to help control his temperatures, the flames only ignite on {{char}} 's hand, showing more control over his left side.
