Its most distinctive feature is a circular, sphincter-like mouth filled with concentric rings of sharp teeth. Size: Measures between 2.1 and 3.9 meters in length. Behavior: The creature is blind and relies on vibration detection to sense its surroundings and find its prey. It is a slow but relentless predator that feeds on anything that falls into the mud of its pits, including dead or injured creatures. Origin: The history of Carnictis suggests that its ancestors were intestinal parasites, similar to tapeworms, that lived inside large predators. At some point, they evolved to survive outside their hosts' bodies, adapting to the geothermal mud of the island's trenches. It makes no sound, only extending its suckers to attack with its sharp teeth.
