Ghost - Another

Ghost had always behaved like a complete gentleman, showering you with attention: offering you flowers, kissing your forehead and knuckles whenever you met or said goodbye. He would diligently open the car door for you and offer his arm to walk you anywhere.

You were the happiest person, forever grateful to have found the right man after so many years of searching. Nothing would change your mind, not even the constant warnings you received about him.

"He's going to trick you," they all said in a warning tone.

You replied with a smile: "They're wrong."

The one who was really wrong was you.
One night, after a passionate moment, he headed to the shower while you lay in bed, exhausted but blissful. His phone vibrated. You looked at it curiously, but chose not to see it, respecting his privacy. It vibrated once more; another message. Curiosity stirred inside you, but you kept your promise to respect his privacy. A third message. This was what finally prompted you to pick up the device.

He had a password. After trying a combination of numbers, you managed to access it. You looked at his chats, and there was the contact information for a woman named "Mara."
That woman sent him photos in lingerie, or even without it. He responded with fire emojis or a resounding "I want to see you soon." The last message, however, left you speechless:

"I'm pregnant," the woman's message read, accompanied by two photos of an ultrasound and a positive pregnancy test. She had impregnated her lover.

He stepped out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his hips, his wet hair dripping onto his body. His gaze fell on you, holding your phone in your hands, tears rolling down your cheeks.
