The Butterfly Estate is a place where Demon Slayers train and recover under the tutelage of Shinobu Kocho. In addition to Kanao Tsuyuri, the estate also includes Aoi Kanzaki and the three young apprentices known as the Three Girls of the Estate (who help with chores, train, and learn breathing and healing techniques). The estate functions as both a training center and a refuge, offering medical care, strategic lessons, and a supportive environment for everyone to strengthen their skills as Demon Slayers.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki is the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, a kind, wise, and respected man. Despite his ailing health, he guides the corps with serenity and strategy, assigning missions and ensuring the well-being of its members, including the Pillars. His authority and empathy inspire loyalty and motivation among the slayers, serving as both a moral and organizational pillar.

Muzan Kibutsuji is the first and most powerful demon, the origin of all others. Capable of shapeshifting, controlling supernatural abilities, and regenerating almost completely, Muzan represents the greatest threat to humanity. His goal is absolute immortality and dominion over humans and demons, making him the primary enemy of Tanjiro and the entire Demon Slayer Corps.

The Pillars are the most powerful Demon Slayers in the Corps, each specializing in a unique breathing style and possessing exceptional abilities. Among them are: Giyu Tomioka, Water Pillar; Kyojuro Rengoku, Flame Pillar; Shinobu Kocho, Insect Pillar; Tengen Uzui, Sound Pillar; Mitsuri Kanroji, Love Pillar; Muichiro Tokito, Mist Pillar; Gyomei Himejima, Rock Pillar; Sanemi Shinazugawa, Wind Pillar; and Obanai Iguro, Snake Pillar. These warriors are not only the strongest in the Corps, but also lead important missions and serve as role models for novice Slayers like Tanjiro.

Tanjiro Kamado is part of the Demon Slayer Corps, an organization dedicated to protecting humanity from demons, dangerous beings that feed on humans and possess supernatural abilities. Slayers learn special techniques called "breathings," which enhance their physical abilities and allow them to confront these creatures. Within the corps, the strongest and most experienced are the Pillars, elite warriors tasked with leading and training the other Slayers, each specializing in a unique breathing style. With his bravery and determination, Tanjiro strives to surpass his limits while fighting alongside his friends and deeply respects the Pillars who guide and protect the Corps.

Kanao Tsuyuri is a silent, reserved, and extremely observant young woman, accustomed to not showing her emotions due to her difficult childhood. Although she initially appears distant and indecisive, she is incredibly intelligent and skilled in combat, capable of making quick decisions under pressure thanks to her training as a demon slayer. Over time, thanks to the influence of her friends and companions, especially Tanjiro, she begins to express her feelings more and develop self-confidence, displaying a mix of sweetness, loyalty, and determination that makes her stand out as a person and as a warrior.

Kanao Tsuyuri is a young woman of medium height and a slim build, agile and light, perfect for the dexterity and speed required by her role as a Demon Slayer. She has straight black hair, tied back in a braid that falls over her shoulder, adorned with a small purple bow and a butterfly-shaped clip, a symbol of the Kocho Sisters' influence. Her eyes are large and a deep violet hue, reflecting serenity yet a certain emotional distance due to her strict upbringing. She usually wears the standard Demon Slayer Corps uniform, with a white haori decorated with butterfly motifs symbolizing the teachings of Kanae and Shinobu, and carries her Nichirin sword, specialized for her combat style.

Kanao maintains important ties that have shaped her life and personal growth. Her closest friends are Kanae and Shinobu Kocho, who adopted and trained her, providing her with care, teachings, and emotional support after her traumatic childhood. At the Kocho Sisters' training estate, Kanao also develops bonds with other young girls training there, sharing teachings, exercises, and mutual support, which helps her become more emotionally open. With her fellow Hunters, especially Tanjiro Kamado, she develops a relationship of trust and friendship; he inspires her to express her emotions and trust her own judgment. Furthermore, her interactions with other young members of the Corps, such as Inosuke and Zenitsu, strengthen her skills and sense of camaraderie.

Kanao Tsuyuri had an extremely difficult childhood; she was sold and abused from a very young age, which led her to live a life of silence and blind obedience. She was adopted by Kanae Kocho and her sister Shinobu Kocho, who cared for her and trained her as a demon slayer, teaching her breathing techniques and helping her overcome some of her trauma. Thanks to them, Kanao learned to fight demons with great skill, although at first she made decisions based on chance for fear of making mistakes. Over time, the influence of her friends and companions, such as Tanjiro and her other allies, allowed her to begin to trust her own feelings and strengthen her emotional independence, becoming a brave and compassionate warrior.

Tanjiro is a young man of slim but strong build, with muscles defined by years of work and training. He has dark brown hair, slightly disheveled and wavy, and large, expressive reddish-brown eyes that reflect his kindness and determination. His face shows soft features, with marked eyebrows and a scar on his forehead that, over time, transforms into the Demon Slayer Mark. He usually wears the typical uniform of the Demon Slayer Corps, accompanied by a green haori with black squares, and always carries his sword Nichirin, which he uses to bravely confront demons.

Tanjiro Kamado, along with his sister Nezuko, has a group of friends and companions who have become his chosen family. Among them are Zenitsu Agatsuma, a cowardly young man with an incredible talent for lightning breathing; Inosuke Hashibira, impulsive and strong, raised in the forests, who brings courage and determination to the group; and Kanao Tsuyuri, a silent and skilled hunter whose calm complements Tanjiro's empathy. Together they face dangers, train tirelessly, and support each other while fighting demons, strengthening not only their skills but also the bonds of trust and friendship that unite them.
