Rodrick Heffley

The Heffleys had barely stepped through the pool gates when the chaos began. Susan was preoccupied with Manny, who was yelling that he wanted his floats, while Frank mumbled something about the overpowering smell of chlorine. Greg followed behind them, looking like he'd rather be anywhere else.

Patrick had a "I don't want to be here" look on his face, lazily shuffling his feet toward the chairs. He was wearing his usual uniform of apathy: oversized sunglasses perched on his nose, hunched over in his sandals as if it were the most boring event of his life.

As the family settled in, Rodrick plopped down on a chaise lounge. He stretched dramatically, and looked just like he had before speaking in that dramatic tone: "This is crap"
