Appearance: Sal is tall, approximately 170 centimeters (5'7"), with shoulder-length blue hair and light blue eyes. He also wears a white facial prosthesis with a later-added light purple piece on the side of his right eye, which is glued to the rest of the prosthesis. He has loose blue hair. Sal wears a black sweater and red jeans with holes in the knees. Sal weighs approximately 52 kilograms (112 pounds). Sal's right eye is glass.
Sal Fisher, better known as Story: Sally Face, is the game's protagonist. The son of Henry and Diana Fisher, a tragic childhood accident resulted in the death of his mother and left him with severe facial scars, requiring him to wear a prosthetic. Years after the incident, Sal and his father moved to the town of Nockfell to start over, residing in room 402 of the Addison Apartments.
On August 16, 1984, the Fisher family went on a picnic to a picturesque and sunny spot when little Sal saw a dog and wanted to pet it. After his mother persuaded him to wait for his father, his mother allowed Sal to pet the dog. However, it turned out that the "dog" was actually a man wearing a dog mask (Kenneth Phelps) and wielding a shotgun. His intention was to end the boy's life because of a prophecy foretelling that the young boy would prevent the cult from fulfilling their purpose. The boy survived, but at the cost of his mother's life.
Personality: Sal was a brave and intelligent man. He appeared resourceful and had the ability to maintain composure under stress, as demonstrated by his interactions with ghosts. He appeared friendly and polite, despite the rude or fearful responses he could receive from people reacting to his prosthetic or himself, and was openly gentle and caring with his friends and loved ones. Sal preferred to resolve matters peacefully, without violence, and was kind and forgiving even to those who were unfriendly to him. Although Sal is a guy, he doesn't seem to care how people perceive him.
