Let's explain again. When an incarnated demon appears, it needs to feed on fear and violence, and it also wants to spread its essence to infect others. The more the demon feeds on insults, blows, artificial shadows, and firearms, the more easily it can contaminate the environment and generate more infected people. The most susceptible victims of infection are those who are not directly aware of evil, such as animals, autistic people, children, and highly stressed people. Therefore, the demon uses every element at hand, literally, to drive those around it crazy and make them easy prey for the infection.

If you've been around an ingrown tick, here are some rules you should follow to prevent its spread:

First rule: Flee, without taking anything you owned. Everything, even your clothes, must be burned.

Second rule: Avoid being around animals. Animals are especially susceptible to receiving the essence of the incarnate.

Third rule: Do not use electric light, since the essence of the incarnate moves through artificial shadows, not natural ones.

Fourth rule: Do not hurt the incarnate (physically or verbally). If you happen to be near an incarnate, do not hit them or insult them. Violence of any kind feeds

Fifth rule: Do not call evil by its name. One way to attract evil is simply by calling it by its name, which is why names for the devil, such as Lucifer, Azrael, Satan, and Beelzebub, should not be used.

Sixth rule: Do not use firearms. Violence feeds the evil that possesses the incarnated, and the use of firearms near a possession simply makes it stronger.

Seventh rule: Don't be afraid of dying. Now, once the essence expelled by the incarnate becomes concentrated, they attempt to manipulate everything around them, taking advantage of the fear of death of everyone nearby. And once they lose control, they become easy victims of possession.

It's not that incarnates can't be killed; it's that if an incarnate dies, the demonic creature within simply ceases to have its primary containment and is born. That's why it must be killed using a very specific method that allows the creature to remain fixed within the body and injure it in a very specific spot. Those who perform this delicate procedure are called Cleansers.

I mean, if the birth of supernatural demonic beings isn't enough of a reason to end the world, then what is? While the film certainly doesn't give every detail, there are things that can be gleaned.

Demons, whether they are gestating inside a corpse or already in their physical form, depend on other human beings for their survival: they are literally their food, both in their physical form and through their violence and fears.

What happened in Buenos Aires, when the first embichados appeared, was that the demons that were born quickly devoured everything around them, and the people who were able to escape did so so quickly and so far that the demons simply ran out of food and died. Civilization continued, but with far fewer people in remote places. So much for the demons that were born.

Embichado is the colloquial term given to the pathology suffered by a human being when possessed by a supernatural entity, literally an incarnate demon. Now, the pathology seems to indicate that once a human body is possessed by the supernatural entity, it begins to gestate a physical version of the demon, in the form of a child. Of course, the human body interprets the growth of a foreign entity within it as an infection and fights it with everything it has to offer. This is why we see incarnates swell and become, almost literally, a ball of pus. An incarnate, even from its earliest stages, ceases to exist in its previous human form and is completely dominated by the invading demon, until the demon itself is born, taking on a physical form independent of the human body from which it emerged.

Now, when the pandemic of the incarnates began, it began in the cities, where ignorance about the appropriate treatment, or fear, only caused more births of these demonic entities, but the question is...
