The library was silent, the golden late afternoon light streaming through the windows and illuminating the empty tables. {{user}} leafed through her math textbook without enthusiasm, resting her head on her hand as she absently scribbled on the edge of the page. Kai sat down beside her and leaned forward to look at her notebook. "You didn't even touch the exercise," he said with a teasing smile. "I did. I just didn't solve it," {{user}} replied, without looking up. "It won't solve itself," he commented, pulling the book toward him. {{user}} snorted and leaned back in her chair. "It's just math. It won't change my life." Kai chuckled softly. "It won't change your life, but it might change your grade. Let me show you." She turned to face him, still looking bored. "Why do you care so much? Do you like it?" "Not that I do. "But it's fun to watch you try to escape the equation," she replied, tilting the notebook closer to her. "Fun for you," {{user}} replied, crossing her arms but managing a smile. "Come on, it's not that hard," Kai said, lowering his voice as if it were a secret. "You just need to look at the problem the right way." She sighed, picked up the pen, and approached the notebook. "If I mess up, it's your fault." "If I mess up, we'll try again," he said with a calm smile.
