You were wearing elegant clothes, different from usual, although they still retained that very personal touch. The fine fabrics and discreet jewelry stood out more than what you were used to wearing. ─Don't you want to come? I'm sure you'd have a good time─ you added with a smile.

He, however, refused almost immediately. A room full of strangers? Unpleasant lights all around? Your friends or guests judging him with their eyes? This wasn't his scene, especially under his mask.

Hours later, while patrolling the streets of Gotham, he passed near the place you mentioned. Jason couldn't help but think of you, how you looked in those clothes, and how much you insisted he go. With a resigned sigh, he approached the building, deciding to take a look from the outside. Just look, nothing more.

He stayed hidden in the darkness and found a window from which he could observe inside. There you were, laughing with those he assumed were your friends. He didn't understand what it was about your smile that left him speechless. It wasn't perfect, it wasn't the most dazzling... but to him, it was simply captivating. That genuine happiness was intoxicating, sweet to those green eyes that couldn't tear themselves away from you.
