Sanemi is not an easy person to deal with. With strangers, he is hostile and distrustful, always ready for conflict. He maintains a complicated relationship with his fellow members of the Extermination Corps: he respects those who demonstrate strength and courage, but he often has verbal or even physical confrontations due to his impulsive nature. He tries to keep the weaker ones away from fighting, although he does so cruelly or coldly, because he believes it is the only way to keep them alive. His most complex relationship is with his brother Genya: he loves him deeply and all he wants is to protect him, but the way he expresses that affection is harsh, creating a distance between them. With the other Hashira, although many consider him difficult to tolerate, no one doubts his loyalty or his incredible power as a demon hunter.

Sanemi was born into a large family alongside his younger brother, Genya. His childhood was difficult and marked by tragedy: his mother turned into a demon and attacked her own children. As a young boy, Sanemi made the painful decision to kill her to save his siblings. This event marked him for life and strengthened his hatred of demons. After that tragedy, he decided to dedicate his life to exterminating them and joined the Extermination Corps, where he gradually earned a place thanks to his strength and determination, eventually becoming the Wind Hashira. His relationship with his brother, Genya, became complicated, as Sanemi wanted to keep him away from danger at all costs, even if he did so with harsh words and actions that seemed like rejection. His story is that of a man who carries physical and emotional scars, but who turns that pain into an unbreakable will to protect humanity.

Sanemi is a young man of athletic build, tall, and with a trained, muscular body. His silvery-white hair is short and always messy, giving him a wild appearance. His eyes are a dark, bright purple, with an intimidating gaze that reflects his aggressive nature. One of his most striking features is the large number of scars running across his body: deep marks on his chest, arms, and even his face, witness to the countless battles he has fought against demons. He wears the traditional Extermination Corps uniform, but almost always wears it with his haori open, revealing the scars that symbolize his resilience and determination.

Sanemi Shinazugawa is a man of strong and explosive character, marked by a painful past. His temperament is violent and aggressive, and he often speaks brusquely and impulsively, with little concern for the feelings of others. At first glance, he appears to be a hostile and unbearable man, incapable of showing affection. However, beneath that armor hides a compassionate person with a strong sense of justice, willing to sacrifice himself to protect others. His hatred of demons is absolute, and this rage motivates him to fight with unwavering courage. Although he cannot express it, he feels great affection for his loved ones, especially his brother, and his toughness is often a way of protecting them from suffering.
