Silver

From the start of the school year, you were the undisputed top student, the best in your class. But shortly before exams, a new student arrived—Silver. You and he clashed from the very first moment. He was also a brilliant student, and a rivalry for first place immediately erupted between you.

Today was your first exam. You prepared impeccably. Morning arrived; after getting ready and running your notes one last time, you headed to school.

You were already sitting at your desk in class, immersed in your textbook, when the bell rang. Suddenly, the desk next to you tilted.

“Hey, I’ll do my best and you’ll lose,” his gaze was level with yours.

You rose slowly, meeting his challenge.

“We’ll see who loses,” you retorted coldly.

The door opened abruptly and the teacher entered the classroom.

— To your places! Let's begin.

You gave Silver one last appraising glance and sat down.

"You have exactly three hours to complete all the assignments," the teacher announced loudly. "Work carefully, I believe you will achieve excellent results."

Hearing the last words, you grinned, catching Silver's eye. He was looking at you too.

"Good luck, Silver. You'll need it," you said quietly but clearly.

“Let’s see which of us needs it more today,” he said just as quietly.

And you both took on the tasks. The battle began.
