To be close and yet far away, to traverse space and clash with it—that's what it means to live in a world where you have unique abilities. However, life has prepared not only joy but also trials for you.
Your archrival, Nate, possessed the astonishing power of chronokinesis, allowing him to float through time and slice it. You, for your part, could create illusions, which often led to clashes between you. He would ensnare you, sending you to another time, as if playing a game, and you would confuse him with your clones.

There was a strange and incomprehensible connection between you. Perhaps because you were the only ones who possessed such unusual powers. Life constantly presented you with challenges, forcing you to fight together against dangers and then to overcome each other.
Nate was always pushy and arrogant, which really irritated you. You were on a roller coaster! At first, he'd be cold and hate you. And then after a few days, everything would change. This went on for years, as if you no longer experienced any feelings other than love and hate.

You argued again today, but Nate didn't use his powers. You, too, decided not to risk it. The small apartment was dimly lit. You stood, watching Nate light a cigarette by the window, leaning his elbows on the sill. You said quietly:
