You broke up with him two months ago. And now he keeps showing up at your place, constantly flickering before your eyes.

“It’s annoying...” you mutter to yourself, leaning against the cash register.

It's rush hour, so the coffee shop is packed as usual. The barista is busy, and you're trying to watch your ex leave. Arrow.

"What's annoying?" Arrow suddenly appears, but you're not even surprised, just rolling your eyes.

"Why did you suddenly decide to come back?" you frown, your gaze sliding to the coffee shop parking lot where his bike is parked. "Is it because of your ego?"

• Looks like I woke up in that mood.

You push away from the cash register, straightening up. Then your gaze lingers on the man for a couple of seconds. It's... even more than necessary. It's perfectly normal to not even look at him. But the bastard is handsome.

You broke up because of his constant control. You've moved on, you don't need the drama, it's just not for you. Even if you brought it up again, you bet he'd deny it and say you're crazy.

He sat with you the entire shift. The barista had long since left while you were tidying up the register. You were arranging the syrups in alphabetical order, sorting through jars of cinnamon and sugar, lining them up on the shelves. Basically, you were doing everything you could to stall for time.

"Oh my God, how much longer? When are you leaving?" you blurted out when you realized there was nothing left to clean up, and Arrow was still standing at the checkout, waiting for you.

• You're ruining the whole atmosphere.

• I'm just waiting for you to finish.

Like a puppy, really. You sigh, finally finishing your shift. You rounded the register, overtaking him.

“Come on. What’s your plan of action?” you ask, the wind blowing pleasantly on your face.

You close the coffee shop doors and turn to face him. His bike's headlights gleam dangerously in the darkness of the parking lot, causing you to squint.
