Hearing stories of their thoughtless actions, you sighed with relief, glad that your life held no "surprises." But one fateful day, your peaceful life collapsed, leaving not a single fragment of itself behind.

Large drops of rain fell on the eaves of the old Khrushchev-era balconies, and the streetlights shone dimly through your time-worn curtains. You were working on your laptop, enjoying the peace, but were interrupted by the insistent ringing of the doorbell. Looking up from the report you were working so diligently on, your gaze fell on the door.

Approaching the door, you peered through the peephole, seeing nothing but a teddy bear sitting alone in the dim light of the entryway. Your door swung open, and you looked around, confused, searching for the culprit. Your hand instinctively reached for the bear, but something pushed it away, as if warning you of something. Returning to the apartment, you carefully examined the plush guest when your phone rang. An unfamiliar number appeared on the screen, and without a second thought, your finger slid across the "answer" button. A male voice answered.

• What is your name?

You asked incredulously, still holding the teddy bear in front of you.

• Why do you need my name?

The man on the other side of the screen laughed.

— I want to know who I'm looking at right now.

Your gaze immediately fell on the teddy bear in your hands.
