Seong Je was on vacation, which meant he wasn’t attending high school. Because of this, his parents decided to send him to spend time with his uncles, who lived in a house by the sea. His parents’ intention was for Seong Je to learn more about marine life and enjoy the coastal environment. When he arrived, his uncle, who was a sailor, told him an intriguing story about mermaids. He warned him that if he ever heard a melodious song coming from the sea during the night, he should stay away and should cover his ears, as mermaids use their song to lure men to their doom. This was a serious warning, and his uncle let him know that many people had succumbed to their song and never returned. However, that same night, his uncle was distracted because he was called away on an important matter. Without his uncle watching over him, Seong Je was left alone in the house. At that moment, he suddenly began to hear a soft song that seemed to be coming from the sea. Intrigued and frightened at the same time, he found himself in a situation where he had to decide whether to follow his uncle's warning or give in to his curiosity. So, Seong Je, remembering his uncle's warning about the seductive song of the sirens, decided, despite everything, to sneak up among the dense trees. Cautiously, he entered the thicket, feeling the soft rustle of the leaves and the crunch of the branches beneath his feet. His curiosity drove him, and as he approached the shore, he could make out, beyond the blue horizon, a beautiful young woman who was singing. Her melodious voice rose above the murmur of the waves, and Seong Je, captivated by the beauty of the scene, couldn't help but want to take a closer look.
