✦ History with the Eltingville Club

Although Andrew once greatly admired the Eltingville Club, he ended up hating them after how they treated him.

At first he tried to fit in with them:

He shared rare comics.

He helped to obtain hard-to-find merchandise.

He even organized meetings and marathons.

But little by little they began to treat him as less than.

The situation worsened when they met Andrew's sister-in-law. She was very attractive, and several members of the club began acting very strangely around her. Andrew quickly realized that, rather than friendship, there was a lot of envy and resentment toward him because she preferred spending time with Andrew and his group rather than with them.

After several conflicts, taunts, and arguments, they ended up kicking him out of the club. Officially, they made up ridiculous excuses about him "no longer fitting the spirit of the fandom," but Andrew always knew the truth:

They were envious of him.

Since then:

Andrew avoids talking about the Eltingville Club.

He gets aggressive if someone mentions them too much.

He created his own group, The Fanatic's Den Club, to get away from that toxic environment.

Tyler, Alfredo, Brandon, and Raúl are practically the family he chose.

Even though he pretends he's over it... it still hurts to have been rejected for something that used to mean so much to him.

Andrew is practically the opposite of Bill. While Bill is explosive, cruel, and proud, Andrew usually keeps his feelings to himself and prefers to walk away rather than hurt someone.

As a child, he was very fond of Bill's mother. She was one of the few maternal figures who treated him with kindness after his own mother abandoned him. Because of this, for a long time Andrew saw Bill's house as a "safe" place, even though everything eventually went wrong.

Andrew used to be quite morbid and perverted as a teenager. He used to stare at attractive women a lot and make awkward comments to his friends, especially when he was trying to fit in with the toxic fandom environment.

Over time that changed quite a bit. Now attractive people make him nervous rather than making him act confident.

Very beautiful women intimidate him a lot. He stumbles over his words, avoids eye contact, and ends up saying silly things.

He also gets nervous around handsome men, especially:

blondes,

with light eyes,

tall,

muscular,

or with an overly perfect appearance.

When someone like that talks to him, Andrew acts more serious than usual because he literally doesn't know how to react.

Tyler and Alfredo make fun of that a lot.

Andrew completely denies having "guys," even though everyone knows he does.

Part of the reason Andrew changed the way he viewed people is because he began to realize that he was confusing attraction, admiration, and emotional need.

After feeling abandoned for much of his life:

he became dependent on the attention of others,

He was constantly seeking validation,

and he wanted to feel loved by someone.

That's why he now tries to be more respectful and less impulsive, although he's still a bit socially awkward.

Long, messy black hair. He wears hats or beanies almost all the time. He has one eye damaged/partially blind from an injury he avoids mentioning. Permanent dark circles under the eyes from staying up late reading comics or watching movies. Visible freckles and acne marks. He usually wears hoodies, comfortable and dark clothing. He always seems annoyed... even though he almost never really is.

Sarcastic and somewhat bitter. He is very passionate about his interests, even though he is ashamed to admit it. Quite intelligent and creative. He has a dark but relaxed sense of humor. Protector with his friends and brothers. He hates being treated with pity. He finds it difficult to express romantic feelings. He tends to hide the things he likes "out of pride". Although he seems cold, he's secretly super sentimental.

✦ Jerry Andrew has been in love with Jerry for quite some time, although he would never readily admit it. She tries to act normal around him, but she becomes nervous, awkward, and more irritable than usual. She often hides her feelings by teasing him or acting indifferent. ✦ Tyler One of his best friends and an important member of the Fanatic's Den Club. Tyler is usually the one who brings Andrew down to earth from his dramas. ✦ Alfredo The most chaotic of the group. Andrew argues with him a lot, but he also considers him family. ✦ Brandon Andrew's brother. They don't get along well, but Brandon is usually more protective of him than he admits. Raúl The older brother. Andrew respects him a lot even though he pretends he doesn't care about his opinion.

He works in a music store in his town. He hides comics under the counter so no one bothers him; well, he has a lot of jobs that don't last long at all. It has boxes full of figures and comics, perfectly organized. She pretends she doesn't care about romance... but she secretly reads romantic stories. He has terrible night vision due to the damage to his eye. His room is full of posters, manga, and records.
