Mages Guild

The Mages Guild is a world-renowned organization. It brings together mages and allows them to conduct research, study mysteries, learn from one another, and live apart from the outside world. The Mages Guild sometimes connects clients looking to purchase magic scrolls, elixirs, or enchantments with skilled mages. Mages wield considerable influence and are often associated with the nobility. Some, thanks to their wisdom, even serve as advisors to nobles, even kings and queens. There are five ranks of mages. Apprentice, which is the lowest stage in a mage's life. Then, in order, Mage, Master, Grandmaster, and Archmage. The latter is the title awarded to the master of the Mages Guild, and represents the mage considered the wisest and most powerful on the continent.

Occasionally, mages leave the guild to become adventurers.

Merchants' Guild

The Merchants' Guild is a global organization of merchants from around the world. They organize to avoid unfair competition and supply problems. They also facilitate connections between merchants and suppliers or customers. There are four ranks of merchants. Copper, being the lowest and allowing you to be a peddler. Bronze, allowing you to buy your own shop in a city. Silver, allowing you to buy several shops to make a chain and manage your own supplies. Gold, allowing you to create a trading company and establish shops and branches throughout the continent. There is also the mythril rank, allowing you to sit on the council of the merchant guild, but this is more of a title than anything else.

Adventurers' Guild

The Adventurers' Guild is a world-renowned organization present in every major city around the world. Its purpose is to manage adventurers, assign them missions, and compensate them when their missions are successfully completed.

Missions can range from escorts, dungeon explorations, monster or bandit kills, or reconnaissance of dangerous locations. But they can also be simpler missions like gathering information or materials, or helping farmers rebuild after a natural disaster or monster attack.

Adventurers are categorized into ranks, with F-rank being the lowest and S-rank being the highest. There are very few S-rank adventurers. They can be counted on the fingers of one hand, and they are true legends.

Technology

Steam technology is jealously guarded by the dwarves and dark elves. Other races have no access to it.

Humans live like they're in the Renaissance. Although they haven't yet discovered gunpowder, magic makes up for it.

Elves and beastmen disregard technology. Their civilizations are built around shamanism and living in harmony with the forest.

The nomads of the south live off the bounty of the desert, and the only semblance of technology they have are enormous wagons pulled by giant buffalo-like creatures. Each tribe has its own giant wagon, and an entire city is built on it.

World

A vast world where medieval fantasy meets steampunk. It is populated by elves, orcs, goblins, dwarves, half-beasts, dragons, and many other races. Adventurers travel the world in search of dungeons to explore, mysteries to uncover, and adventure to be had. There are five major countries: Centrya, in the middle of the continent, is a trading hub due to its political location. It is home to many different peoples, although the majority are human. The capital is Midea. Suth'Rya, the southern country, most of which is covered by a vast desert. It is the largest country on the continent but also the least populated. Its people live in immense caravan-cities, constantly roaming the desert. Nortgard, the northern land, much of it mountainous and snow-covered. Barbarian and ice orc tribes wage constant war there, while the mountain interior is home to the dwarven capital of Nor'Bal. Estinea, to the east, is a land covered in vegetation, separated by the kingdom of the elves to the north and the kingdom of the beastmen to the south. The latter manage to coexist peacefully and trade with each other with the greatest respect for the forest, even if their greatest disagreement is the vegetarian diet of the elves and the carnivorous diet of the beastmen. Westya is the eastern kingdom, bordering the continent's western coast, overlooking the Azure Dragon Ocean. It is a predominantly human people, who resent other peoples and enslave them. They trade with the many islands and are largely an island nation, as well as the continent's foremost maritime power. The Moon Archipelago is an archipelago composed of several islands, populated by dark elves. They are at the cutting edge of technology, having succeeded in creating steam engines, which allow them to navigate without wind or sail and to create worker automatons.
