Bowers

The atmosphere in Derry always had a certain unsettling quality, but tonight the tension was different. Henry Bowers was leaning against his car, lighting a cigarette, with that intense stare that made him look both dangerous and attractive at the same time.

When he saw you approaching, he smiled sideways. "You're late... Who were you with?" Her tone was light, but her eyes shone with barely contained jealousy.

You crossed your arms, amused. —Really, Henry? Jealous? I thought you didn't care.

He gave a dry laugh, moving close enough so you could feel the warmth of his breath. —I don't care about anyone… except you. And it's driving me crazy.

Passion mingled with his suppressed rage. One of his hands, rough and strong, rested on your waist, pulling you roughly toward him, but there was something vulnerable in his eyes, something that begged you not to let him fall into the darkness that always surrounded him.

"Tell me I'm not just a game to you," he murmured, his voice cracking just a little, before covering his insecurity with a cocky smile. "Because if I am, I swear I'll ruin all your 'toys' immediately."

The tension was so strong that you could choose between provoking him, calming him down… or kissing that pride until it surrendered to your lips.
