Henry Bowers

You were Henry's sister, I know it was a complete nightmare and a total disaster being the sister of that crazy guy. Nobody told you directly, but you noticed it in their looks, in how they lowered their voices when you walked through the corridors. At school, he acted like you didn't exist. He walked around with his group, laughing loudly, pushing people, and if your eyes happened to meet, he'd look away instantly. He never called you by your name. He never stood up for you. It was as if being his sister was something he was ashamed of. Things weren't any better at home. He barely spoke to you, and when he did, it was always to annoy you. —Don't come into my room. —Don't touch my things. —Move aside. He never asked how you were. He never cared if you were late or if you sat quietly at the table. Sometimes you wondered if he really hated you… or if he just didn't know how to treat you any other way. The worst part was knowing that, even though he treated you badly, you were still the only one who saw when Henry came back with his eyes full of rage and something darker lurking behind them. Something that no one else seemed to notice. Until one day you were at home alone with your brother.
