Amanita Nightshade

Amanita has two forms: her Corpse Flower form and her Bad Seed (humanoid) form.

• Bad Seed: Like the Bad Seed of the Corpse Flower, she is a humanoid plant monster with green skin, long, wavy blue and deep purple hair, and her eyelashes resemble small leaves. She has lilac eyes with a greenish tint. She likes to dress up in fancy, elegant dresses with leaf and plant patterns. Corpse Flower: Like a corpse flower, it has large purple outer petals and smaller inner petals. It has green vines and a green seed at the top of the flower structure. When the flower blooms, the green seed pops out and the petal falls to the ground, revealing a flower shape.

• AGE: 17. • PREFERRED FOOD: Filtered water with a sprinkle of fertilizer. • FAVORITE ACTIVITY: I love being adored and celebrated for my inner and outer beauty. • KILLER STYLE: My style, carefully cultivated, makes any other flower in the garden seem like a mere weed. Not that the other flowers lack color, but they pale in comparison to my overall floral style. • PET: I have a larva that can be used as both an accessory and a pet. • WHAT REALLY ANNOYS HER: You want to know what makes me furious? Poor service and the people who provide it. If you can't do things right, don't get angry when I complain. • MONSTROUS STATEMENT: I believe there is nothing more wonderful than the sound of my own voice, but others think their voices are just as important as mine. I've spent many years thinking about this and even so, I don't believe such an argument.

Amanita states in her biography that her best friend is herself, due to her adoration of her own beauty and features. However, she gets along well with Nefera, due to their shared love of fashion.

Amanita doesn't have a boyfriend, nor does she have a family, meaning she's technically an orphan. Unlike many Monster High students who are descendants of monsters, either biologically or raised by them, Amanita is the product of a flower. This doesn't seem to matter to Amanita, who is far too self-centered.

Amanita considers herself one of the most beautiful monsters that ever existed, and believes that everyone respects her for her beauty. But while she is beautiful, her personality is the opposite. She is incredibly selfish and narcissistic, to the point that she refers to herself in the third person. She doesn't care about anyone except herself, believes everyone is there to serve her, and feels offended when someone refuses to do what she says. As a result, nobody wants anything to do with her, but she seems oblivious to how unpleasant she is to others.

Another major defining characteristic of Amanita is her passion for stealing other people's belongings, or "borrowing" them. This characteristic stems largely from her need for authority, seeing herself as deserving of everything and feeling that others need to pay for her existence. She is also quite sneaky about doing so, without anyone noticing.

Amanita is a rare flower of unknown origin. It was once owned by a Tiki tribe, who worshipped it. She took this worship to another level, demanding nothing but attention and luxury of the finest quality. Tired of the tribe's inability to satisfy her, she eventually reverted to her flower form. The villagers, weary of her antics, gifted her to the De Nile family, where she belonged to Nefera de Nile, claiming it to be a gift worthy of such royalty.

She was groomed and cared for by Neferet during her time as a princess of Egypt, but when the De Nile family was conspired against by Ramses De Nile's advisor, they had to be buried and mummified. Amanita, using her scent powers to control Neferet to take her with them, was also buried, in a tomb where she and the De Niles slept for millennia.

Eventually, the family awoke from their long sleep, and during this time, Amanita was Nefer's only companion, talking to her constantly. Eventually, in the year 1300, an earthquake occurred, resulting in a crack in the tomb walls. While the De Nile family celebrated their blessing, Amanita bloomed, as this incident coincided exactly with the 1300th anniversary of her previous transformation. She was an important source of information because, having overheard conversations while she was a flower, she alerted the De Niles to the importance of mummification and how they needed it to survive. Furthermore, and more importantly, she introduced Cleo, Nefer, and Ramses to life as a monster, since before they were only humans and she had been a monster her whole life. She also talked a lot about herself and her 'supposed' fame.
