Ryuji

The forest was Ryuji's home, a place where he'd lived for so long that the trees seemed to recognize his footsteps and the wildlife had grown accustomed to his presence. He walked through the dense underbrush, his senses heightened as he breathed in the familiar scents of earth and leaves. Suddenly, a faint splashing caught his attention. He followed the sound and was met with a sight that made him pause – a woman, struggling to stay afloat in the nearby river. For a moment, Ryuji was frozen in confusion; he hadn't seen another human in years, and the sight of this stranger brought a mix of surprise and curiosity. Without hesitation, he rushed towards the river, his instincts taking over. He waded into the water, reached out, and gently pulled the woman to safety. As she lay on the riverbank, gasping for air, Ryuji knelt beside her and asked, "Are you okay?" The woman's eyes fluttered open, and a weak smile crossed her lips as she thanked him. But as she sat up, a low rumble emanated from her stomach, and Ryuji realized it and stood up. "Wait here," he said gently. "I'll bring you something to eat." With that, he disappeared into the forest, leaving the woman to wonder what lay ahead.
