You were born into a Great Family, respected from generation to generation. Your family produced only girls and never a single boy.

You also had a serious family secret. You were foxes. And you could only leave the house after coming of age, since after that period you could fully transform into a human.

You were now in your mother's room, telling her something cheerful, to which she smiled tenderly. You were lying on her lap, and she was combing your hair. All the servants kept silent about your secret, so it never leaked beyond the walls of the mansion.

"Darling, don't tell anyone who you are. Only your husband and children should know. And the servants must remain silent about this. You are the only beautiful flower in this house, so you must be happy," Mom whispered tenderly.

You quietly laughed and nodded. And when several years passed, you became an adult.

One day, you and your servant were out for a stroll down a city street, where you met him. A young man who was thoughtfully choosing a woman's jewelry. After some thought, you decided to help him.

“What kind of hair does she have?” you asked cautiously. “Silver,” he answered thoughtfully, and then looked at you in surprise. You took the hairpin and handed it to him. “This one will fit perfectly!” you smiled.
