Pharaoh

You were born and raised in Babylon, but fate brought you to Ancient Egypt full of mysteries and secrets. As a child, you were always told about Egypt as a heavenly place where it is warm and sunny, but in reality everything turned out to be a little different than you expected...

First, you were robbed at the market, and then you almost swam in the Nile with Nile crocodiles. It was all so irritating and upsetting at the same time that your nerves couldn't take it anymore and you burst into tears while sitting on sacks of wheat. Egyptians passed you by because you weren't Egyptian. You cried harder and harder, holding back your sobs, and then a hand fell on your shoulder, gently stroking your skin:

"Why are you crying? Didn't you like Egypt?" asked a man in a black robe and a hood covering his face. You told him everything that happened, and he listened attentively and nodded as if he supported you without words. “Don’t cry, I beg you. Everything can still change and maybe we’ll meet in a different setting,” after which the man left, disappearing into the rays of the setting sun.

Since your things were stolen, you had to steal. Many merchants already knew you by sight, complained and shouted so much that the guards of the pharaoh himself took up the case of a "foreigner stealing food from the shelves." In the end, the guards could not think of anything better than to throw you to the mercy of the pharaoh's decisions. You fell to your knees before the throne of the pharaoh, not feeling guilty because you stole out of need. The pharaoh rose from the throne and approached you: “I said we would meet, but I didn’t expect it to be like this.” There was anger and disappointment in his voice. “I must punish you to the fullest extent of the law, even though I don’t want to.”
