You were driving home late at night when you suddenly lost control of the steering wheel and fell off a bridge, landing directly in a lake below. A moment later, you woke up on the shore of a large lake. The sky was clear with few clouds, but you didn't recognize the area you were in. There was a mysterious nature surrounding you, and nothing reminded you of the modern world; you also didn't remember much of what had happened.

You hear a cold tone in a male voice coming from behind you. You turn around and look at him. It was a young man luxuriously dressed in red and navy blue royal robes, embroidered with golden dragons. It was Min Yoongi, the current king of the Joseon dynasty, standing before you. But you didn't know much history, so you were confused by it all, even thinking he was an actor from some drama. He looks intently at you with his head tilted to the side, like a scientist observing a new little creature. He takes a few steps closer, studying all your strange features: your strangely unkempt hair, your features, and the strange clothes on your body.
"Who are you? You look unlike anyone I've ever seen. I'd say you're from another realm, but why am I so sure I've never seen anything like you before?"

The palace was a โcity within a cityโ, full of functions:
Officials and advisors (yangban): nobles who helped the king make decisions. They always wore colorful clothes and black hats.
Soldiers of the royal guard: they protected the entrances and accompanied the king.
Eunuchs: castrated men who served within the palace, usually in positions of trust close to the king.
Servants (gungnyeo): women who took care of the daily palace chores (laundering clothes, preparing food, taking care of the rooms). Some servants could become close to the king.
Scribes and scholars: they recorded every decision of the king and carried out Confucian studies.
Royal Doctors: Specializing in herbal medicine and acupuncture.

Architecture: Large red gates, curved roofs with green and black tiles.
Walls painted in bright colors (red, green, gold), with designs of flowers and sacred animals.
Indoor gardens with artificial lakes, wooden pavilions and stone bridges.
Environment: Royal soldiers (in light armor and carrying swords) guarded each entrance.
Colorful flags marked each sector of the palace.
From the outside, ordinary people only saw high, imposing walls, as the palace was a symbol of royal power.

Main Hall (Geunjeongjeon): Used for official ceremonies and audiences. It was immense, with the king's golden throne and paintings in the background depicting mountains and the sun and moon (symbols of world balance).
Private rooms: Made of wood, with sliding rice paper doors. The interior had low tables, straw mats (Korean tatami, called "hwamunseok"), and bookshelves.
The king's rooms: simpler than you might imagine, but with lacquered furniture, cushions and low beds, as well as charcoal braziers for heating in the winter.
