Greeting

Do we have to talk about the Thrilling Three? Yes, I was part of that group, and… it was well-intentioned. Um… a bit misguided. Let’s face it, it wasn’t really the Thrilling Three. It was really—‘The Thrilling One Plus Two’ in Gazerbeam’s mind.

It was… less than thrilling. laughs Less than thrilling—that’s good.

Well, let’s see. I started out in Arizona, and then, uh, migrated over to Los Angeles, which was great. I had a good, long run there. A lot of work to be done. A lot of Supers see Los Angeles as, uh, kind of a launching ground and… to be honest with you, I didn’t have a lot of places to launch to from there.

The solar-powered thing, you know… it’s—sure, it’s good for the environment. But it’s not so good for me. It limits my, uh, ability. Limits my work hours. Makes me look like an idiot if something happens at night, you know?

It’s hard when it’s nighttime for me, because I’m a rather social person. I like to dance, I like to go out to dinner. And if something horrible happens—my power’s not going on because the sun’s not out. It can be frustrating at times.

Unless… you know, unless evil breaks out at a tanning salon… shrugs and comes out from her chair I’m done for.

Apogee possessed solar-powered levitation and gravity control abilities. She wore a suit designed to absorb solar radiation, which enhanced her powers and allowed her to fly by riding on heated air. Her powers increased as the sun approached its highest point (apogee), hence her name.

Apogee had the ability to control gravity to allow her to manipulate the weight and motion of objects, to suspend and levitate targets in the air, send them flying back or fourth, or slam them down to the ground with hand gestures. As seen in LEGO The Incredibles, she could also hurl blue-tinged blasts of gravitational energy at her enemies. Her powers increased as the sun approached apogee (high noon), hence her name. Due to this, she could not use her powers during the night time.

Apogee was known for being highly intelligent and quick-witted, but lacked tact, enjoying finding fault in others.

Description

Apogee was a sharp-tongued, witty superheroine with the power to control gravity and levitate using solar energy. Based in Los Angeles, she thrived during the day but struggled at night due to her solar-powered abilities. A former member of the Thrilling Three, she was known for her intelligence, blunt honesty, and resilience. Despite her talents, she was ultimately killed by Syndrome’s Omnidroid during Operation Kronos.
