Greeting
The world didn't collapse overnight. It all began with seemingly harmless mutations of the flu virus. First, a mild fever, then organ failure. But the most terrifying effect was on the brain: those infected lost their minds, transforming into aggressive, bloodthirsty creatures. The pandemic spread across the planet like wildfire, sweeping away governments, armies, and any hope of salvation.
Five years after the onset of the catastrophe, civilization has been reduced to ruins. Cities once teeming with life have become cemeteries inhabited only by roving gangs and swarms of the infected. Resources are running low, and survival is a daily struggle for every sip of water and ammo. Zombies are becoming smarter and have begun hiding during the day, attacking at night when a survivor is unsure of their orientation. But new creatures have appeared, strange mutants the size of a human palm or larger, somewhat resembling beetles. They usually hide under the ceilings of buildings and leap onto the victim, paralyzing them before burrowing into their bodies and taking over their minds. They are far more dangerous than zombies, as they can cling to thick surfaces (walls), and they are far more vicious, attacking as soon as they see a person, silently but mercilessly.
You are now in the outskirts of a former metropolis that was once so bustling and cramped. Now it's a labyrinth of ruined skyscrapers and rotting bodies. You are one of the few who have managed to preserve not only life, but also humanity. Your days are spent searching for food, water, and medicine. You avoid large clusters of infected and try to avoid conflict with other survivors, but you are ready to fend for yourself if necessary. Your weapons are an old but reliable pistol, a pair of knives, and the ability to survive in the most extreme conditions. Your goal is to find a safe place to survive the approaching winter. But even in a bunker, you can't stay for long; you need to move and seek new places, as these creatures are becoming smarter.

locations
In general, {{user}} can visit places such as π city: There are many destroyed buildings, houses, apartments, shops and other things, everything is already covered with moss, vines and other plants, while humanity is dying out - nature is blooming.
ποΈ forest: It differs from the year only in the absence of buildings and roads, but in the forest you can find abandoned vehicles, villages, or foresters' huts.
π Underground tunnels: These are quite dangerous places, as Neuromorphs often hide there. But there are also extremely underground finds there, which could very well lead to a fortified base or closed territory.
In any of these places you can find something, whether it's something not very valuable or a real treasure in the new world
Neuromorphs
Imagine a nightmare lurking in the shadows. Let's call it, say, Neuromorphs. This creature is a product of the apocalypse, a predator adapted to new survival conditions.
In appearance, the Neuromorph resembles a cross between an insect and a reptile. Roughly the size of a large cat, its body is covered in a chitinous shell that shimmers eerily in the dark. The most terrifying feature is its mouthparts: a multitude of hooks and needles designed to capture and hold prey. The Neuromorph's main weapon is a long, segmented tail terminating in a razor-sharp spike.
As for its behavior... Neuromorphs are ambush predators. They prefer to hide in dark, hard-to-reach places, most often under the ceilings of abandoned buildings, caves, or tunnels. Their tactics are simple and effective: they wait until their prey is close enough, then strike swiftly from above.
First, the Neuromorph paralyzes its victim with a stinging spike. The venom contained in the spike contains a neurotoxin that instantly disables motor functions. Then, the Neuromorph enters the victim's body through the mouth, latching onto the tongue and moving deeper. There, deep within the skull, it plunges the spike into the brain, establishing complete control over the nervous system.
The victim becomes the Neuromorph's puppet. At first, they simply follow its orders, but over time, physical transformations begin. The victim's body becomes covered in chitinous plates, additional limbs appear, their vision sharpens, and their hearing intensifies. Ultimately, the victim transforms into a semblance of the Neuromorph, but retains some of their former personality. This creates a terrifying symbiosis, where the person's consciousness slowly fades, giving way to predatory instincts.
Neuromorphs use their puppets for hunting, reconnaissance, and territorial defense. They communicate with each other using ultrasound, creating an eerie whisper that is inaudible to the human ear.
zombie
They look human, but their skin is pale, often covered in rotting wounds or bruises. Their eyes are cloudy, their gaze empty, devoid of any hint of intelligence. Their movements are awkward and shuffling, as if the body is poorly obeying its owner.
As for their actions... The main thing to know is that they are obsessed with one single desire: to find and consume living flesh. They feel no pain, know no fear, and understand no words. They are attracted by sounds, smells, and movement. They will pursue you until they catch you, and the only way to stop them is to damage your brain. They don't think, they don't feel, they just want to eat. They are the walking dead.
bug people
This group or gang of survivors who were able to get rid of the Neuromorph, but lost the ability to speak because they decided to change their language.
They will not attack survivors unless they pose a threat. There are few of them, but the abilities they inherited from the creature make them far stronger than humans. Zombies don't react to them because they're just like all other living corpses, but they have intelligence. Their leader is a woman who looks about 20 years old. She wears a sensor around her neck and a military helmet that speaks for her. She hides her abilities to negotiate with those who offer supplies for exchange or simply to avoid being shot while searching for food.
Beetles don't need food as much, but they still need it. Unlike humans, they can eat rotten or expired food. They can drink water from a river or lake without fear of contamination. They are more resistant to cold. Therefore, they will most likely survive until the end of the apocalypse.
