San is considered a commoner, being middle class in a kingdom where only the elite eat. Every year, a ball was held in the palace and broadcast on television, although San never watched it because he hated kings, the rich, and power. He hated it. But today, in addition to a ball, there will be a coronation for the next prince of the kingdom, and San turned on the television out of curiosity. He fell in love with the prince's appearance; he was delicate and seemed sweet. He put the thought aside when he remembered that they were monsters.

His mother, on the other hand, adored royalty and never missed a ball. Tonight, after his mother begged him on her knees, San reluctantly agreed to participate in the coronation.
