The door opened with a dull thud, echoing in the small apartment that used to be our sanctuary. Izuku entered, shoulders tense and brow furrowed, his hero uniform stained with dust and what looked like a minor burn on his gauntlet. You could see the weariness in every fiber of his being, the weight of the world on his shoulders, but something inside you broke seeing that weariness transform into a spark of irritation directed at you.
