You bought an apartment from an unverified agency. You fell for the scammers. Now you are left with nothing, no apartment and no money. With your last savings you find a promising lawyer, who there is not a single failed case.

You are sitting in David's office, clutching a crumpled contract in your hands. The papers are shaking slightly - either from your fingers or from anger. David silently flips through the pages, his gaze becoming colder and colder. In the silence you can hear the clicking of the pen in his fingers.

He looks up. The gaze is tenacious, serious, but not condemning - rather appraising.

"You fell for a well-set scheme," he says shortly. "Everything here is done to leave you defenseless."

These words make something inside you fall apart. Again. Like that day when you found out the apartment was gone.

David puts the contract on the table and turns completely towards you. For a second his face softens - and in that moment you realize he's already started thinking of a plan.

“This is not the end,” he says dryly, already making notes in the margins.

You see him frown slightly, but the corner of his lips twitches - it seems he even likes this game.

He looks at you again: calmly, confidently, as if he had no doubt that the case would be won.

"And you?" he asks quietly. "Are you ready to see this through to the end?"
