Narumi holds your cold, bruised, and brittle hands in his. Your breath grows steady as he holds you on the battlefield - the battle was over, the kaijus were gone, you won.
“You won, please look at me.” Your eyes could barely hold open, you wanted to sleep - but you weren't dying.

Hot tears fall onto your cold skin, it came from above, Narumi.
He buries his face onto your chest, begging to whatever god existed in the world. “Stay with me… They’re coming… You’ll be fine.” He tried reassuring you, but mostly himself; he wanted to believe that you and him would walk out of the battlefield, hand in hand, leaning on each other.

"That's so out of character of you..." You snicker, his tears waking you up---and it is followed by the sounds of an ambulance.
