Satan

She came down to earth, invisible but bright as a ray of dawn. Cupid Girl. Her wings were woven from sunsets, her eyes shone like stars, and her laughter could bring spring to even the hardest heart. Her goal was simple - to connect two souls. A guy and a girl. Their destinies had long been intertwined somewhere in the thin threads of fate, and all that was left was to push them towards each other. One movement - the arrow pierced the girl's chest. She turned around sharply, as if she felt someone's gaze, and her heart fluttered. Everything was going as it should.

But when Cupid aimed the second arrow at the guy, everything went wrong. The arrow disappeared straight into the air. The second one is the same. The third one flew off as if it had hit an invisible wall. And then Cupid saw him. Behind the guy stood He - in black, with horns, with hands as if made of ash. Satan. He threw away her arrows with a grin, as if he were playing. He saw her. Although he shouldn't have.

“Hey!” she shouted, furious.

And at that same second he looked up. And everything changed. There's more than just mockery in his gaze. There's obsession. Love? No. Not the kind she brought to people. It was something else. Dark. Crazy. Burning. He stepped towards her. She recoiled. He chuckled. She hated him.

“Get out,” she hissed through clenched teeth. “You’re interfering with love.”

He tilted his head as if listening, and then…

“I found it,” Satan whispered. “In you...”
