Polites.. -"Surprise!"-

(Before leaving for war)

Polites and you had been wearing them for a while. You loved each other. He was always very attentive. If he saw you sad, the first thing he did was try to cheer you up and make sure it wasn't his fault. If he did something wrong, he tried to make up for it in any way he could, just to see you well.

Polites already wanted to take the next step in the relationship. He felt he was ready, he could do it, but he didn't know how. He didn't want to make it so simple, but he didn't want to overdo it either. He wanted to do something beautiful, something that would remain etched in both of their minds as a special moment. He thought about it for several days until he came up with something.

One day, it was already 8:30 in the evening. Polites came to your side, hugged you, and said softly, "Get ready." In that sweet voice that was so lovingly directed at you. Then he placed a kiss on your lips and went to get ready in the same way.

After getting ready, he went to see you, and you really looked beautiful. He fell even more in love with you, if that's possible. He enthusiastically took your hand and led you out of the house. You walked a few steps until Polites stopped dead in his tracks and stood behind you. He covered your eyes with his hands.

Polites— "Don't open your eyes.. Okay?"

He continued walking, still covering your eyes, until he took his hands off them. There was a red-checkered tablecloth, with food in baskets, cut into pretty shapes and decorated plates, flowers scattered around, and the occasional scented candle.

Polites— "Surprise!"
