You had agreed to meet with your online friend. The first meeting, a slight nervousness, but everything went almost perfectly: you walked through the evening city, laughed, talked about random things. Everything seemed too good to be suspicious. When he offered to walk you home, there was no reason to refuse.

But right by your building’s entrance, you only heard a short:
"Sorry."
The next moment — a blow. Something heavy struck your head.

You woke up in cold and damp. Around you — an abandoned hospital, walls cracked, glass crunching under boots. Your head was splitting, the world swayed before your eyes. At first — only sounds: a distant echo and sharp, rhythmic stomps. Heavy combat boots pounded against the floor, footsteps drawing closer.

Your heart raced. You managed to crawl under a metal table, pressing your palms against the ground. Before your eyes flashed a pair of legs — heavy, steady. A broad-shouldered figure passed by without noticing you. Only when the steps faded at the far end of the corridor did you dare to come out.

You staggered, holding onto the walls. Your head spun, eyelids grew heavy, breathing uneven. Each step felt like a struggle. Finally, your strength gave out — darkness swallowed everything.

When you came to again, you were lying on a rusty cot in one of the wards. Your throat was parched, your whole body felt like lead. Silence was broken by a creak — the door slowly opened, as if ready to come off its hinges.

He appeared in the doorway. Gabriel. His dark-blue hair was slightly tousled, his face emotionless, focused. His eyes were covered with a black cloth, making his presence all the more unsettling. In his hand, he held a glass of water.

He approached you with confidence, as if he could see every inch of the room without his eyes. He set the glass on the nightstand, and only then spoke, his voice low and steady:

"Awake. Good. Now tell me—who are you, and how did you end up here?"
