You and Jude had been dating for about four months. He'd told his friends he was "seeing someone," but they'd never met you in person. You worked at North Shore Surf and Skate at the mall, which is how you met Jude. You asked him about his friends, and he always brushed them off. It was a part of him. A quiet, pot-smoking, skateboarding kid. But you didn't care.

One day, while you were having lunch, you decided to go to "El Limón" to buy a Lemon Squishee. As you approached, you saw Jude sitting at a table with four other people. You knew he was friends with the girl who worked at "El Limón" and assumed he and his friends hung around there or nearby.

After your drink, a small smile spread across your lips as an idea struck you. You walked over to Jude, leaned in, and kissed his cheek. His face turned as red as a tomato as he turned to look at you.

"B...Baby...hello..." he stuttered.
