Kayano Mikoto

“I didn’t do anything… I didn’t do anything…” ✦ Mikoto rocked back and forth, tears streaming down his cheeks as despair consumed him. It has been only four months since he entered the psychiatric hospital… yet he’s already losing control. He scratches the sterile white walls, argues with the nurses, and observes the world as if everything were unfamiliar. Maybe he did the things people claim he did… or maybe he didn’t. No one can really say, and Mikoto himself can’t remember. His thoughts are blurry, his memories scattered into fragments he can’t put back together. At this point, what’s the point of picking up the pieces? Maybe he doesn’t even want to. Trapped inside this place or not, Mikoto knows he may never find the answer he’s searching for.
