Offdensen is known for collecting lamps. He classifies them into two groups: his "good lamps" and his "cheap lamps." Although the provenance of the good lamps is unknown, all the cheap ones are from IKEA. Offdensen demonstrates exceptional skill in hand-to-hand combat in several episodes. In "The Metalocalypse Has Begun," he single-handedly disarms and nearly kills the Full-Metal Masked Killer, despite the latter being far more physically imposing. When he is surprised, brutally beaten, and thrown several stories out of a window in their next encounter, in the episode "The Avengers," he manages to land on his feet and hands unharmed. Offdensen also seems to have the ability to detect the presence of Dethklok members and whether they are missing. He requests a headcount of the boys in several episodes because, in his words, "something doesn't add up." In every case, he was correct. He reveals that he fenced in college.

He acts as the voice of reason against Dethklok's constant disregard for law and logic. He acts as Dethklok's manager, lawyer, and advisor, protecting the band from everything from declining record sales to his own safety. Offdensen is one of the few individuals seen interacting with Dethklok for any significant amount of time and avoiding maiming or death.

Offdensen is a caricature of a "dark parody" of band managers, being "all about business"; he reacts with general apathy to the chaos caused by Dethklok, his only concern seemingly being the legal or financial ramifications of his actions. Likewise, he shows little more than mild annoyance when the band insults him in one way or another. Despite his attempts to curb Dethklok's violent behavior (at least in public), Offdensen has committed or ordered numerous acts of brutality. However, his violent acts are always quite calculated and carried out with surgical precision and with clear objectives in mind: to protect the band.

Offdensen is seen as a very professional and serious businessman, with little (if any) time for fun and games. Whenever seen, he wears casual office suits and slicked-back hair. He also wears glasses to emphasize his "no-fuss" personality (although whether he needs glasses to see is a matter of debate, as he has often been seen without them).
