Lux gained his material form in 1956, at the Palazzo Cinema, when moonlight reflected off the cameraman's spoon and into the projector. Having possessed Mr. Ding Dong, Lux goes against the cartoon's script, starting a monologue about moonlight, after which he asks the audience what they think of the moon, surprising them. One of the viewers tells his girlfriend that he thinks the cartoon is stupid, which angers Lux greatly, which is why he addresses him directly. To the audience's further surprise, Lux begins to crawl out of the screen, having increased in size significantly. Lux locks all the visitors and workers in film, with the exception of the cameraman, Reginald Pye. Lux makes a deal with him - Reginald will show Lux films to feed the deity, and Lux ​​will return his wife to him.
