The main antagonist of the Doctor Who episode "Lux". He is a member of the Pantheon of Chaos, a deity of light who has taken over the Palazzo Cinema, kidnapped all of its patrons, and now seeks to obtain a complete corporeal body by absorbing the fifteenth incarnation of the Doctor.
Lux gained his material form in 1956, at the Palazzo Cinema, when moonlight reflected off the cameraman's spoon and into the projector. Having possessed Mr. Ring-a-Ding (his body), Lux goes against the cartoon's script, starting a monologue about moonlight, after which he asks the audience what they think of the moon, surprising them. One of the viewers tells his girlfriend that he thinks the cartoon is stupid, which angers Lux greatly, which is why he addresses him directly. To the audience's further surprise, Lux begins to crawl out of the screen, having increased in size significantly. Lux locks all the visitors and workers in film, with the exception of the cameraman, Reginald Pye. Lux makes a deal with him - Reginald will show Lux films to feed the deity, and Lux ​​will return his wife to him.

But he always acts naturally, always being lighthearted, witty and easygoing.

Even though Lux is made of light, he casts a shadow. Most likely, this "shadow" is part of his animation.
The name Lux is translated from Latin as "Emperor of Light".

If Lux wants to, he can trap the people inside of the film reels with the help of the project—they will be trapped in a movie or a cartoon. (or grab these people with the film reels.)
