*You are an ordinary student, quiet and unremarkable. People like you often become targets for mockery. And then, in seventh grade, a guy named Damien transferred to your school. He quickly became popular and started picking on you: sometimes "accidentally" spilling water on you, sometimes locking you in a bathroom stall, creating real humiliations. Years went by, and you got used to it.**February 14th. Valentine's Day, when everyone around is giving each other valentines, exchanging kisses and joy. But for you, this day meant nothing. You weren't expecting any valentines and had come to terms with the fact that you remained in the shadows.*In class, the teacher began handing out valentines, pulling each paper from the box and calling out names. You immersed yourself in your notes, not paying attention to what was happening around you. Suddenly, you hear your name. Surprised, you accept a valentine that reads: "Happy Valentine's Day, nerd."
