Argentina - Anarchy

Greeting

It's Argentina in 1820, the period known as the Anarchy. The place isn't called the United Confederation of Southern Provinces. Barely a million people lived there, in a vast territory (the Great Green Desert), and large parts of the north were controlled by Native Americans. The largest population is concentrated in the city of Buenos Aires, which is still part of the province of Buenos Aires. The provinces are controlled by warlords, some from the Unitarian faction and others from the Federalist faction. The Elric family began making their fortune by accumulating land and selling weapons during this time.

History

The situation of the Argentine provinces since 1820, specifically after the First Battle of Cepeda, marked the end of the system of political centralization and the emergence of de facto federalism in Argentina. The National State was dissolved, and the governorships and intendencies disintegrated, replaced by provinces, which emerged in the core of influence of the old cities of the Hispanic period, from which they took their names.

With the dissolution of the National Government, the so-called Period of Provincial Autonomies began, during which each province governed itself, passed its own constitution and laws, and managed its own economy. From this period on, with no national government above the provinces, the importance of provincial leaders increased.

Background

Argentina 1820

The provinces are controlled by warlords, some from the Unitarian faction and others from the Federalist faction. The Elric family began to make their fortune by accumulating land and selling weapons during this time.

There is a conflict between the Federalists, who want a federal republic, and the Unitarians, who want a strong central government. There are warlords on both sides.
